Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary seeks scholarship applicants

Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary is seeking applicants for the Elizabeth Wilmot Bull Memorial Scholarship. The statewide merit-based scholarship is awarded annually to students enrolled in a medical/health-related field of study, excluding pre-med or pre-nursing, at an accredited Georgia college or university.

“The Elizabeth Wilmot Bull Memorial Scholarship is given by the Georgia Hospital Association’s Council of Auxiliaries and Volunteers in memory of its founder,” said Kim Fair, services coordinator for Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary. “As a member, Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary is excited to present this opportunity to students in our community.”

Qualified applicants must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and provide an official transcript from the school they attend, two letters of reference and a personal narrative related to their occupational choice and goals. A member of the Auxiliary Scholarship Committee will conduct interviews with all applicants who meet the requirements.

Applications are available during normal business hours at the Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary office, 1279 Highway 54 W., third floor, Fayetteville (next to Piedmont Fayette Hospital). The application deadline is January 15, 2013. For more information, call the Piedmont Fayette Hospital Auxiliary office at 770-719-7098.
