PTC Quiznos burglarized early Monday

The beginning of the winter storm early Monday morning did not deter a break-in and theft at the Quiznos restaurant on Ga. Highway 54 in the Peachtree East Shopping Center just outside Peachtree City. The incident is under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

The burglary occurred on Jan. 10 at approximately 2:15 a.m. when a brick was thrown through a front window, said sheriff’s office spokesperson Brent Rowan, adding that the power to the store had been turned off from the outside of the building.

Rowan said the store’s safe was open and a cash drawer was found on the floor nearby. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen, said Rowan.

Anyone with information pertaining to the burglary is asked to contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at 770-461-6353.
