South Metro Rose Society meets Jan 28 in Fayetteville

The South Metro Rose Society will meet January 28 at 7 p.m. at The Heritage Bank at 440 N. Jeff Davis Drive in Fayetteville. All rose growers from novice to expert are invited to attend free of charge. This month’s program features Master Rosarian Cindy Dale speaking on “Top Performing Roses for North Georgia.” Her colorful Power Point program will describe many varieties of garden roses that are the most hardy, disease resistant, and produce the most blooms in this part of the country. Members will be encouraged to share their thoughts and add their favorites to the list. As usual, Master and Consulting Rosarians will be available to answer questions on any rose topic. Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 8, at about 9 p.m. and continue through the night to modify existing lane configurations at the intersection of Newnan Crossing Bypass and Hwy.
