Schwertfeger-Koenig engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Schwertfeger of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristy Lynn Schwertfeger, to Jared John Koenig, son of Mark and Jodi Koenig, also of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Whitewater High School and will graduate in May 2012 from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.

The groom-elect is a 2008 graduate of Fayette County High School and will graduate in May 2012 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in turf management. Upon graduation, he will be employed as the assistant superintendent at Planterra Ridge Golf Course.

The couple will exchange their vows on the beach in Hilton Head Island, S.C., in June 2012.
