To better address the diverse needs of caregivers, Fayette Senior Services (FSS) and Piedmont Fayette Hospital will co-host two highly informative workshops offered by Sixty Plus Older Adult Services of Piedmont Hospital (Atlanta). Both workshops feature geriatric care professionals from Piedmont Hospital’s Sixty Plus Older Adult Services program, which provides educational and supportive programs designed to enhance the well being of older adults and their families.

• Diagnosis of Dementia: Now What? - Thursday, Jan. 27 - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This workshop includes practical information about understanding dementia, emotional issues, legal/financial concerns, community resources, and using the healthcare system. • Managing Dementia Behaviors & Symptoms - Tuesday, Feb. 22 - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The session will cover communication techniques, reducing agitation, and the role of medication in managing difficult dementia behaviors.
