Kathleen Mary Stogner

Kathleen "Katie" Mary Stogner, 44, Peachtree City, died Jan. 14, 2010. She was born in Morristown, N.J., and later received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University. She was a teacher, homemaker, and a loving person to all who knew her. Services were at the Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. David Miller officiating. A private interment was held later.

Survivors include her husband of almost 21 years, Eric C. Stogner, Peachtree City; a son, Matthew Eric Stogner; daughter, Kristen Nicole Stogner; parents, Joseph and Mary Ann Moody Farrell, The Villages, Fla.; brothers, Peter and Stephanie Farrell, Baltimore, Md., and Bill and Jessica Farrell, Moorpark, Calif.; and a sister, Mari and Paul O'Neill, Glenridge, N.J. Memorial donations may be made to Southwest Christian Hospice, 7225 Lester Rd., Union City, GA 30291. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

The Georgia Department of Labor announced this week that the unemployment rate in the Three Rivers region in July was 7.1 percent, up five-tenths of a percentage point from 6.6 percent in June.
