Coweta cancels classes Tuesday and Wednesday

Coweta County school officials at 9 p.m. Monday announced that schools will be closed for students on Tuesday. Staff should report as normal.

School system spokesman Dean Jackson said schools will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday due to warnings of severe winter weather conditions moving into the Coweta County area during the day.

Coweta and area counties on Tuesday will be under a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service.
