McKinney-Pitman engagement

Charles C. McKinney of Fayetteville and Mrs. Joyce S. McKinney of Hampton announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole J. McKinney, to Andrew W. Pitman Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew W. Pitman Sr. of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cicero A. Swinney of Atlanta and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. McKinney of Douglasville. She is a 2007 graduate of Whitewater High School and a 2010 graduate of Gordon College where she received her associate’s degree in nursing.

The groom-elect is the great-grandson of Mrs. Minnie L. Wise of Fayetteville and the late John E. Wise. He is the grandson of Mrs. Beverly W. Upchurch of Peachtree City and the late Robert E. Upchurch, and Mrs. Eleanor M. Pitman of Fayetteville and the late Alfred T. Pitman Jr. He is a 2002 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2007 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received his bachelor’s degree in management. He is currently employed as an environmental planner at Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc.

The wedding will take place on Sept. 10, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.Following the honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Hapeville.
