FFUMC will offer Lenten events

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will again offer weekly Lenten lunches beginning Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 11:30 a.m. The Faith Circle will provide a light lunch and the speaker will be the Rev. Mark Westmoreland.

An Ash Wednesday service will be held in the sanctuary Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. The service will include the imposition of ashes.

Lenten lunches will continue each Thursday throughout Lent, (Feb. 25, March 4, 11, 18 and 25) and will end with a lunch on April 1. All lunches will begin at 11:30 a.m.

The church is at 175 E. Lanier Ave. (Ga. Highway 54) in downtown Fayetteville.
