Flat Rock band selected for special performances

Flat Rock Middle School Symphonic Band performed at the Georgia Music Educators Association Conference in Savannah last weekend. The band, led by Band Director Matthew Price, was one of only 2 middle school bands that were invited to perform from Georgia. The Flat Rock Symphonic Band was also one of two Middle School Bands invited to perform at the Southeast United States Band Clinic at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. The band was selected from throughout the Southeast United States through a competitive audition.  Both events were an extremely high honor for Flat Rock Middle and the Fayette County Public School System.
