1 charged with armed robbery

A Fayetteville man has been arrested by sheriff’s deputies for participating in the armed robbery of a north Fayette man Nov. 30.

Courtney Valentine Morris, 19, of Hampstead Manor is charged with armed robbery (party to a crime).

Morris is alleged to have been the getaway driver during the incident, in which three men robbed a victim in a home on Westbridge Drive, said Investigator Brent Rowan of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. Morris was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 10.

The investigation into the robbery is ongoing, Rowan said.
