Allen Anderson Jackson, age 91, of Tyrone

Mr. Allen Anderson Jackson, age 91, of Tyrone, Ga. passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga. after a short illness.

He was born in White Plains, Ga. on Aug. 5, 1921 to the late Arthur and Estelle Anderson.

He is also preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hart Jackson and a daughter Angie Jackson.

He is survived by a son, Robert Jackson, and his grandchildren; Brook and Chris Mullins of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Brad Jackson of China. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jackson was a retired Air Force officer having served in both France and Germany during World War II with distinction. After retiring from the Air Force, he had a career as the Chief Juvenile Probation Officer in Clayton County where he retired.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, Ga. A visitation with the family will be held at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home.

Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory located at 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, Ga. is in charge of these arrangements.
