Lady Panthers shut out St. Pius

The Starr's Mill Lady Panthers soccer team broke open a close match in the second half Friday night 4-0 win over St Pius at Panther Stadium.

The teams were scoreless at halftime but Molly Moroney opened the scoring just three minutes into the second half, assisted by Leslie Logan.

Carly Pressgrove quickly returned the favor, sending Logan through from midfield before a calm finish made it 2-0.

Moroney tallied her second goal of the match on an assist by Lauren Yoss for the team's third goal in eight minutes.

Pressgrove finished the match off with a goal in the final five minutes off another assist from Yoss.

The Lady Panthers are 2-1-0 on the season as they travel to Lambert Tuesday.
