Mr. Jerry C. Walton, 74, of Fayetteville

Mr. Jerry C. Walton, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away on March 1, 2011.

Mr. Walton spent 50 years in the insurance business and was the owner of Walton Insurance Services in West Palm Beach. He graduated from Russell High and attended Emory University at Oxford as well as Georgia Tech.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart whom he was married to for 56 years, Ann Strickland Walton; children, Connie Cates (John), and Scott Walton (Barbara); grandchildren, Tiffany, Ashley, Jerry, Cameron, Scotty (Amy), and Josh; one great-grandchild Aiden; one sister; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with Reverend Mark Westmoreland officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
