Former mayor Dettmering inducted into FCHS Hall of Fame

Among the alumni of Fayette County High School honored at its Hall of Fame banquet, was the late Jack Dettmering. He served as a city councilman from 1963 to 1968 and as mayor from 1968 to 1988. Accepting the honor are from left Kathe Anderson, class of ‘73,  Ellen Lowe,  class of ‘79,  his wife, Mary Whitlock Dettmering, class of ‘48,  and Susie Keaton, class of ‘81. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Senoia June 6-7 for the Canongate Series #4. The Canongate Seminole Course played excellent host to two very competitive rounds of junior golf.
