From bookstore to tool store: Harbor Freight Tools coming to empty Barnes & Noble

There will soon be a new business operating at the site of the former Barnes & Noble bookstore at the Uptown Square commercial development on Ga. Highway 85 North in Fayetteville. Nationwide retail tool supplier Harbor Freight Tools is expected to open its Fayette County location in the coming months.

The 21,000 square-foot store across Hwy. 85 from the Fayette Pavilion will soon become the home to a wide variety of power, air and hand tools, generators, automotive and motorcycle accessories, lawn and garden equipment, garage and shop items and general merchandise.

Company representative Suzanne Goldsteyn said the new Fayetteville location is expected to open in the next couple of months.

Goldsteyn said Harbor Freight Tools operates 343 stores nationwide.

Cool. Does it have wifi?

It's about time a decent establishment moved into Fayette County. Now I won't have to drive to Marietta!
Remember - he who dies with the most tools, wins!

When I drive by the sign on the store say Goodwill. And I am glade to see them.

If you want better quality tools then just drive a few miles further north on Hwy 85 to TOOL TOWN USA.

It was not much of a surprise that the Peachtree City Council on Oct. 1 unanimously denied a variance request to reduce the 50-foot buffer on four residential lots along Robinson Road.
