Gas leak shuts entrance to PTC Walmart, Home Depot

A gas leak that sprung just after 11 a.m. today is ongoing, resulting in the closure of the entrance road to the Peachtree City Walmart and Home Depot, fire officials said.

It could be 7 p.m. or later before the gas leak can be repaired, according to estimates communicated by Atlanta Gas Light, city fire officials said.

The nearby Chase bank decided to close because of the gas leak, attributed to a break in a two-inch service line, officials said.

in front of Home Depot. Was home depot out of stock on repair gas line parts or was there no one available from AGL to make the repair? Surely they had some duct tape. 8 hours, come on now, that's ridiculous to shut down that intersection for that long.
