3 Atlanta area teens arrested in Fayette Pavilion carjacking

Two teenage males from Atlanta and one from DeKalb County were taken into custody Thursday after a high-speed chase that began at the Fayette Pavilion as a carjacking and ended near downtown Atlanta after the stolen vehicle was disabled.

The three juveniles, one age 14 and the others age 16, were charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, theft by taking motor vehicle and fleeing and attempting to elude, according to Fayetteville Police Det. Mike Whitlow. The juveniles will be charged as adults and gang charges are also expected to be filed, Whitlow added.

Whitlow said the carjacking victim had exited the Kohl’s department store at the Pavilion when she was rushed by the three teenagers. The woman was told to move away from her vehicle while one of the males pointed a small caliber handgun at her head.

Fayetteville Police at approximately 5:15 p.m. were dispatched to respond to the carjacking. Officers were able to obtain a description of the victim’s vehicle and broadcast it to other agencies. Deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle in north Fayette County and attempted to pull over the vehicle. The driver refused to yield and the pursuit was initiated. The pursuit traveled through several jurisdictions and was ended by the Georgia State Patrol, said Whitlow.

The high-speed chase came to an end after the stolen vehicle was disabled by a Ga. State Patrol trooper on the MLK on-ramp to I-20 West, Whitlow said.

Whitlow said the victim of the armed robbery and carjacking was severely shaken up but was not physically injured.

Whitlow said one Fayette County patrol vehicle was damaged along with the State Patrol vehicle. There were no injuries reported.

Whitlow said the three juveniles are thought to be associated with a gang that has been responsible for a number of carjackings and car thefts in the Atlanta area.

“We are investigating the possibility that they have been involved in some previous car thefts at the Pavilion,” Whitlow added.

Fayette Pavillion = The County's Biggest Mistake.

2 major crimes in 4 hours. Responsible for 41% of the crime in the city. Its time to shut that place down.

and all other law enforcement who decided this county will not tolerate the crime that originates with the human trash in Atlanta and some other surrounding communities.

We are grateful for your persistence, your tenacity, your professionalism and your willingness to protect us from whomever tries to ruin our lawful lives here. We are so glad none of you were hurt.

Sorry to say my vehicle fights me every time I try to head east in this county, and I don't see that changing soon.

Couldn't agree with you more.

I wonder how many innocent people were exposed to near death with this chase?

I wonder what would have happened if the woman was well trained and concealed with an appropriate weapon?

Who knows? I guess this teen was just lucky this time.

...decided to just take what they want instead of trying to find a job...well... it is only going to get worse.

These "youths" have no discernible future.. they were educated in a Government system that excused their failures and they have been told over and over by the race pimps and the race industry that they are owed something. Just who is supposed to pay is not in question.. the question is however, what is going to happen should these roving thugs confront someone that is armed and decides to fight back... I wonder if the Race Pimps will come running and suddenly we have another Sanford.

Note the common denominator in both recent robberies at the Pavillion. Arm yourselves and profile folks. These thugs were 16 years old and younger and have a complete disregard for human life. Fortunately they will be tried as adults and make some new boyfriends in prison. They will soon discover how the fad of wearing britches around the knees got started.

Be careful out there. Get a concealed carry permit and arm yourselves folks. It won't stop until we start sending more of this trash to the morgue.

What was the other crime committed within 4 hours?

I suspect the reference is the attempted robbery of the PetsMart Manager when she closed the store at 9:45pm and was approached outside by someone who demanded her money and pointed a "small caliber" pistol at her, demanding she return inside and open the safe. Lady refused, started screaming and ran toward Home Depot. The Dirtbag unassed the area and ran towards GA 85. No further info.

time for everyone to start packing if you go north of town.
