Woman unharmed in armed robbery attempt at Fayette Pavilion

It was a close call Thursday night for the manager of the PetSmart store at the Fayette Pavilion as she avoided an attempted armed robbery.

Fayetteville Police Det. Mike Whitlow said the manager had closed the store and was leaving at approximately 9:45 p.m. As she approached her vehicle the woman noticed that she had a flat tire, Whitlow said.

The woman was then approached by a man she described as a short, slender black male dressed in black clothing and wearing a mask, said Whitlow. The man pointed a gun at her and demanded that she give him her money. When the woman hesitated the man repeated the demand saying, “Give me your money, bitch,” Whitlow reported.

The man then grabbed her and demanded that she re-enter the store and give him the contents of the safe, said Whitlow. It was at that point the woman
began to scream, broke free and ran toward the Home Depot store, Whitlow added.

The masked man then began running toward Ga. Highway 85, Whitlow said.

Whitlow said the victim was shaken up but unharmed in the incident.

Anyone with information pertaining to this crime is asked to contact Fayetteville Police at 770-461-4441.

Let's pray the next lady plugs his sorry arse with a chunk of lead......

Stupid can't be fixed. We can only vote him out

No, let's hope someone pops him in the head so that we don't have to pay his hospital bill or a lengthy prison term.

Arse is a drawn out way, and cleaned up way to say another word that starts with an a. And that's what they were saying, "put a bullet in his behind" would be the translation of that one. This is true, I think Fayette needs to establish the same law about every household carry a gun. I don't like guns, but by george these creeps from cities north of Fayette need to just stay up there or get shot down here, simple as that. I agree with you Joe, I'm sick and tired of my tax $ paying for all these criminals. If we start shooting, they'll get the hint.

Are you completely daft, son? I know the meaning of arse and commented that we should aim for the head instead. Did you go to a government run public shool to get your edumication?

Luck has it that he didn't run into a conceal carry, in Fayette County....these guys had better know that it's just a matter of time. Woman or man, doesn't matter.

The odds aren't in their favor in Fayette.

Maybe the Fayetteville police should be patrolling the high crime areas of the Pavilion where all the Fulton, Clayton criminals seem to gravitate, instead of being parked at local restaurants waiting for someone to urinate in the bushes.

It's still open; however, the Mall itself is in foreclosure and the vacancy rate is about 40%.

...haven't you seen the Stock Market..? Housing is up... construction is up... everything is all good now..

So this article has to be wrong.. I just know all of the Mall stores are still open. Obama and the rest of the Media has said so.
