One injury in F'ville accident

Details are sketchy at this point but Fayetteville Police report that a two-vehicle collision on North Jeff Davis and Georgia Avenue early Thursday afternoon resulted in one driver being transported to Piedmont Fayette Hospital after her SUV flipped over on impact.

Department spokesperson Steve Crawshaw said the accident appeared to have resulted when a SUV traveling northbound on Jeff Davis and intending to turn left onto Georgia Avenue was struck by another SUV traveling southbound on Jeff Davis. The resulting collision flipped the northbound vehicle over, Crawshaw said.

The female driver of the flipped vehicle was transported to Piedmont Fayette Hospital with unknown injuries. The two occupants of the southbound vehicle appeared to be unharmed, Crawshaw said.
