American Legion birthday celebrated

The Fayette County Commission recently recognized members of Fayette's American Legion posts 105 and 50 at a recent commission meeting. The occasion was the 91st birthday of the American Legion. The Legion got its beginnings as a way of communicating and sharing fellowship with fellow veterans following World War I.

The Starr's Mill Panthers boys golf team finished fourth in Monday's AAAAA state tournament. The McIntosh Chiefs finished eighth as a team. Cambridge won the team title with a +6 (290).
