Kemp to address Fayette County Republicans

Brian Kemp, Georgia Secretary of State, will be the guest speaker at the Fayette County Republican Party’s First Saturday breakfast in April. Secretary Kemp is a life-long Athens resident who served in the Georgia Senate from 2002-2006. He was appointed Secretary of State in January when Karen Handel resigned to concentrate on her campaign for governor. The Georgia Secretary of State’s office oversees elections, corporations, securities, and professional licensing boards, and also controls the state archives and the Capitol museum. Secretary Kemp has announced his intention to seek a full term in office in this year’s election.  Everyone is welcome to attend the FCRP meeting at the IHOP at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Apr. 3.
