Lenten retreat at CTK

A Lenten Retreat for women was held at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Sharpsburg, with the theme, “Opening Our Hearts to the Father.” The retreat leader was Bonnie Barr, an associate professor of nursing at the University of West Georgia, who is also the president of the Jehovah Rapha Chapter of the International Order of St. Luke the Physician. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9949's next meeting is Thursday, July 9, at 200 Glendalogh Court in Tyrone. The group meets at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of every month.

Sports

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Senoia June 6-7 for the Canongate Series #4. The Canongate Seminole Course played excellent host to two very competitive rounds of junior golf.
