Rita Sweeney Rezba of Peachtree City

Rita Sweeney Rezba passed away peacefully at her residence in Peachtree City, GA on March 26, 2013 at the age of 94.

Rita was born in Cazenovia, WI on November 27, 1918 as the youngest of 7 children.  After graduating high school, she went to work in Madison, WI where she met her husband, John Rezba, who was a Chemical Engineering student. They married on November 28, 1942 during WWII while John served in the US Coast Guard. During his career with Kimberly Clark Corporation, they moved multiple times and eventually settled in Peachtree City following his retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Rezba. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons; Tom and Madeline Rezba of Peachtree City, GA and Steven Rezba of Brentwood, TN and a daughter; Susan and Al Triunfo of Tyrone, GA. Six grandchildren; Jennifer Rezba Medlin, Michael Rezba, Katherine Rezba Whelply, Christina Triunfo Garuccio, Carolyn Rezba Branch and Jacqueline Triunfo Arnold and seven great-grandchildren; Joshua Medlin, Peter (Jack) Garuccio, Audrey Whelply, Edmund Garuccio, Sophia Whelply, Logan Arnold and Margaret Garuccio.

Funeral services will be held at Carmichael – Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, GA on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City, GA in the near future.
