See several Starr's Mill bands at 'The Fred" Apr. 24

Spring has sprung! It’s time to enjoy some fun music under the stars at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater on Apr. 24. The Starr’s Mill High School bands have been working diligently all winter to prepare for an evening of fantastic entertainment. In past years, the “Night of Starrs” event has been held in smaller venues. Due to the growing popularity of the show, the event this year will be held directly under the stars at the amphitheater. For only $10, audience members will enjoy the Big Band sounds of the “Swingin Starrs”, Jazz ensembles, and the “Octave Above” Jazz choir. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy the music or put on your dancing shoes and fox trot the night away. When it’s time for a break, bids can be placed on a large variety of silent auction items and meals can be purchased from local food vendors. Proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will benefit the Starr’s Mill High School band program. Tickets may be purchased the night of the event at the door starting at 6 p.m. Come out for an evening of music under the stars.
