Barry Hamilton James, age 60

Mr. Barry Hamilton James, age 60, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013.

Barry was an educator for over 30 years, serving as a teacher, principal and administrator during that time. He was a graduate of West Georgia College and a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Barry was an avid UGA fan. He also enjoyed traveling especially on cruises and anywhere near the water.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend.

Barry is survived by his wife, Tracy Elliott James of Tyrone; daughter, Audri-Alice Blanks James of Tyrone; son, Mack Hamilton James and his fiance', Katherine Conger of Fayetteville; sister, Cheryl Morris and her husband, John of Newnan; brothers, Bob James and his wife, Carol of North Carolina, Chuck James and his wife, Vicki of Forest Park.

A memorial service was held Friday, April 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Community Bible Church 2001 Jodeco Rd., Stockbridge, Ga. 30281, 770-914-0808 with Rev. Jack Bartlett officiating. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.parrottfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Care Fund at Flat Rock Middle School, 325 Jenkins Rd., Tyrone, Ga. 30290.

The family received friends Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory, 8355 Senoia Rd., Fairburn, Ga. 30213.
