Man robbed at gunpoint Monday night in F'ville

A man headed to work at the Walgreens pharmacy on Ga. Highway 85 in Fayetteville late Monday night was robbed at gunpoint by two men who took his belongings and fled on foot toward the North Jeff Davis Drive area.

Fayetteville Det. Mike Whitlow said the victim was across the street from Walgreens at approximately 11:15 p.m. when two men approached him. One of the men grabbed him and removed his belongings from his pockets while the other man held a gun on him, Whitlow said.

The men then fled on foot in the direction of North Jeff Davis Drive, said Whitlow.

The men were 5’10”-11” in height, with one described as light-skinned and the other dark-skinned. Both were wearing red bandanas and blue jeans and one wore a dark hoodie, Whitlow said.

Anyone with information relating to this crime is asked to contact Fayetteville Police at 770-461-4441.

if Fayetteville can still be called one of the safest cities in Georgia (as mentioned in an article dated March 7, 2013), taking into account the recent spur in car jackings, shootings, robberies, etc.

The frequency of thuggery in Fayetteville is on the rise as obama's wretched policies continue to weigh on American's livlihood.

This is happening all too often, folks. More law abiding citizens need to begin carrying loaded, concealed weapons so that we can start sending more of this type to the hospital, or preferably the morgue. it will send a clear signal to the cowardly thugs that we will not allow Fayetteville to be overtaken by criminals.

Every day there is another story of gun violence.

Today it is about four firefighters held hostage by a gunman in Gwinnett County.

Another product of the gun culture fostered by the NRA.

...and the dues those stupid thugs send to the NRA should be stopped! And, we should denuclearize N. Korea & Pakistan, and stop all the drugs coming into America. Yeah, it's the NRA that did those things. Good God, go smoke some more dope and tie-dye a t-shirt, you'll feel better about the things you can't change...unless we give Hitler.......I mean Obama, license to just start confiscating them. Oh wait, he 'shoots' all the time - maybe just the 1%'ers like him can keep them...

48,000 gun customers each day for background checks - more if you count the gun purchases that don't need background checks.
You know, if Obama could create jobs like he creates gun purchases, he might be a good President.

In fact he may inspire EMT's to carry concealed so that the Gwinnett thing could have been solved without involving the risk of the SWAT team. After that - teachers carry. I'm warming to his gun program - scare the hoi polloi with the government takeover of guns and get them to buy more guns. Cool. Works for me.

Live free or die!

Here's some good video of obama voters doing what they do best in the city with some of the strictest gun laws in the country.

<a href="http://wgntv.com/2013/04/10/logan-square-armed-robbery-caught-on-video/"... fired, store owners fight back during robbery</a>

Notice that the law abiding citizens had to use bats, chairs, and fire extiguishers to to fight back against these obama voters. Why, these 2 cowardly rapper-thugs looked like they could have been obama's son if he had one.

The bedwetters don't listen to reason. New laws will not stop the criminals, it will only empower them. The democrats and obama don't care. All they want is power over the masses. They hate America and they hate Americans. Anyone who can't see that is fooling themselves.

Did you buy that big brush that you paint all your generalizations with at one of the big box stores? Really Joe, if you think that every Democrat or liberal in this country hates America, you are really addicted to the kool aid, dude.

Democrats and Obama don't care about America. That is my opinion - I don't have to 'factualize' anything - just ask your fellow bedwetter Davids Mom - she will tell you.

. . . and criminals. How many criminals did the Nixon regime get rid of? Your 'hate' for Obama diminishes your concern for some issues. Thank you!!!

I never stated on this or any other post that I 'hated' Obama. I think that he is a commie crap-weasel hell-bent on destroying America, but I don't hate him. Factualize those statements that you make DM, otherwise you are just making up crap! (again)

Just curious Lion, what method will you use to protect yourself and family if you are in harms way? Do you just roar loudly and hope the attacker leaves you unharmed, or do you teleport to another galaxy? Crime is all around us these days and it is our God given right to protect our selves, our family and our community. I am for peace, I do not believe in war, but I do believe in providing common sense protection for my family! With the economy in shambles, believe it or not many many people across this nation are forced to "hunt" to provide food for their families just like our grandparents used to do. These are unusual times indeed!

1. Who in the debate of 'safety in American neighborhoods' is advocating taking guns away from hunters?
2. How will honest, law abiding citizens being asked to register their guns take away 2nd Amendment rights?

Now that there will be a debate - maybe some of these questions will be answered by our leaders in Congress. Does this Congress truly represent the American people - or the NRA?

What is the 'truth'?

I have lived in F'ville for 30 years and the crime has been steadily increasing since the Olympics came to town, so if you want to blame the President for the crime in this place, let's go back to 1996 and name them all. Joe, you gotta stop drinkin' the koolaid. What happens in D.C. had nothing to do with the Olympics coming to Atlanta and all the thugs/criminals and trash moving to Clayton County and spilling over into our fair city. Really, blaming the President for every thing that happens locally is rather foolish and just sensationalist thinking to draw attention to yourself.
