Auditions are set for ‘The NeverEnding Story’

A Company of Friends Theatrical Productions will hold open auditions for the Fantastical Adventure Production of “The NeverEnding Story” on April 16. All ages from 8 years through mature adults will be cast in this high action and special effects filled show. Everyone will have a wonderful time portraying the fantasy characters that come to life right in from of the audience’s eyes. Auditions will be held at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church in rooms 240 and 250 upstairs.

Auditioners ages 8 to 11 will audition at 4:45 p.m., ages 12 to 15 at 6 p.m. and the older crowd from 16 through adults should be there at 7:30 p.m. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and some creative improvisations. Rehearsals will run Tuesday and Thursday nights up until the last two weeks prior to the show, scheduled by character so all will not have to be there every night or for the entire time.

Performances are set for June 13-16 at the Fayette Train Depot at 250 Lanier Ave. E. in Fayetteville. There is a production fee of between $45-$85 dollars depending on the role you are cast in because of the complexity of the costumes.

An audition workshop is April 15 for those wishing to meet the new director, read from the script and discover all the characters in the world of Fantastica! Workshop is for ages 10 years to adults and the fee is $30. The class will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. To register please call the prodution manager at 770-599-0051 or e-mail Space is very limited.
