Deyton-Long engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Mark Deyton of Fayetteville, Ga. are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Michelle Ashby-Evonne Deyton, to Richard Evert Long, son of Mr. Greg Long of New Orleans and Mrs. Heike Meeuw of Germany.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Deyton of Hampton, Ga.

She is a 2005 graduate of Fayette County High School, a 2009 graduate of Georgia State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in science and exercise physiology and a 2012 graduate in massage therapy. She is currently employed at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Ga. doing post-injury rehabilitation, specializing in aquatic therapy as well as massage therapy.

The groom-elect is a 2003 graduate of KGS Weismoor in Germany and a 2005 graduate of Aurich Hohere Handles Schule with a associates degree in business. Rick is currently employed at Coweta Club Golf Course in Newnan, Ga. as head golf professional.

The wedding will take place on August 24, 2013 in Alvaton, Ga.

Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 8, at about 9 p.m. and continue through the night to modify existing lane configurations at the intersection of Newnan Crossing Bypass and Hwy.
