Deputies arrest 1 for breaking into S. Fayette home

One man is in custody after breaking into a south Fayette home in the Wildwood Estates subdivision around 1 a.m. Sunday morning, The Citizen has learned.

The intruder, who was heavily intoxicated, was found hiding in a closet by sheriff's deputies as they searched the interior of the home.

The intruder told deputies that he thought it was his friend's home.

It is not believed that anyone was injured.

Wildwood Estates is located off Ga. Highway 85 south near Bernhard Road.

More information will be posted later as it becomes available.
