Andre De Lorenzo, 69, of Peachtree City

Andre De Lorenzo passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010.

Mr. De Lorenzo was a passionate supporter of the local arts community and publisher of the Southside Arts Agenda, a weekly e-magazine covering the visual and performing arts in the five counties comprising the Southern crescent.

He was also a board member of the Endowment Committee for the Cultural Arts of Fayette County (ECCA), and was executive producer of the Southern Crescent Arts Round-up, a television show covering the arts on Comcast Cable Television. He also served on the Fayette Family YMCA Board of Directors, the Design Committee for the YMCA Arts and Humanities facility, chaired the YMCA Family Festival of the Arts, and was named the YMCA 2006 Volunteer of the Year. He also received ECCA's 2007 Applause Award for his dedication to the arts.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday at J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, 200 Robinson Rd., Peachtree City. A viewing will be from 2-3 p.m. with the service beginning at 3:30. A reception will follow at Wendell Coffee Golf Center, 1963 N. Highway 74, Tyrone.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Andre De Lorenzo Scholarship Fund Endowment Committee for the Cultural Arts of Fayette County. Make checks payable to: ECCA-Andre De Lorenzo Scholarship Fund, c/o Bank of North Georgia, 100 Burch Rd., Fayetteville, Rd. 30215.
