The Earth Day celebration is also the time to admire and appreciate Mother Earth. Also, in view of this celebration, retailers have gathered for this Earth Day <a title="Earth Day freebies 2010: offers online and on the street" href="http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2010/04/22/earth-day-freebies-on... 2010</a>, where they are offering discounts or free products in conjuncture with Earth Day to try and draw business to their stores. Of course I am sure they're also trying to promote a healthier environment. Either way, with all the criticism out there about this, I can't help but wonder why individuals care and get so worked up? The outcome of a business taking advantage of a holiday to try and get sales is: more revenue in our economy helping to stimulate it; a lot more revenue equals a lot more job; and they are nevertheless getting individuals to contribute to the environment by recycling or whichever gimmick they have going on. So how is there a down side at all?
