D74 Salon completes first month and now carries Ouidad and Retrohair lines

D’imension Seventy Four Salon (D74) opened at Wisdom Pointe on March 1, and just completed a great first month. During the month, the salon was able to find many former clients through several local advertisements in the Citizen. D74 Salon will also be advertising in Fayette Woman during May. Once D74 Salon opened their doors, the staff quickly settled into their new home.

During March, D74 Salon obtained approval to send two stylists to Ouidad’s certification in May at Ouidad’s flagship salon in New York City. “After years of working with curly hair in exclusive salons, Ouidad designed products specially formulated for the needs of curly hair-waves, kinks, or any texture at all!”

D74 Salon currently stocks the full line of Ouidad’s products, and will be certified for Ouidad’s carve and slice method upon completion of their training.

D74 Salon will be one of two salons in the state of Georgia to achieve certification and be able to provide both Ouidad’s products and the Ouidad carve and slice method. For more information about Ouidad, you can visit them at In the words of one recent client who tried out Ouidad’s products, “It held the curl all day, and I have to say it was the most natural feeling product I have ever had in my hair. I think it is a winner.”

D74 Salon offers a full range of products and services that includes Ouidad, Great Length’s Extensions, Redken color, Retrohair, and highlites. In addition to the wide range of products and services, clients have the ability to request appointments through their website, and receive automated reminders of appointments in their email.

When asked what sets them apart from other salons, owner, Donna Pressel, said, “we give the team of stylists the autonomy to create a product that will improve the self image of each client, and produce a smile on the face of each client. This combined with our color expertise and wide range of products allows the team to create a quality result in a beautiful setting”.

The team of D74 Salon includes Donna Pressel, Robin Dumis, Sara DeLuca, Jeannie Bovee, Kari Upchurch, Laurie Moniz, and Jackie Allen. As a result of their growth, D74 Salon is currently looking to add a full time stylist that has existing clientele.
