Hopewell to host chicken barbecue, yard sale

Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone will hold its annual Chick-N-Que Saturday, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $7.50 each.

The meal consists of half a barbecued chicken, slaw, baked beans, bread, and iced tea. There will also be a bake sale where desserts may be purchased to go with the meal.

A community-wide yard sale will also be held that day. Spaces may be reserved for $10. Space under the pavilion is limited and reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.

Space also can be reserved for setting up one’s personal tent on the church grounds. Those using their own tent are responsible for bringing their own tables and chairs.
