Lou DeFranco, 73, of Peachtree City

Lou DeFranco, 73, of Peachtree City, passed away May 10, 2013. He was a retired engineer for Georgia-Pacific.

He is survived by his wife, Esther DeFranco of Peachtree City; daughter Cindy DeFranco of Chicago; brother, Joe DeFranco of Pennsylvania; nephew Ivan (Caroline) Merchan of Snellville; niece, Natalia Merchan (Edgar Penuela) of Madrid, Spain; grand-nieces, Sofia Merchan of Snellville and Valeria Penuela of Madrid, Spain; sisters-in-law, Martha Vega and Blanca-Lilia Vega of Madrid, Spain and Laly Knobloch of Munich, Germany.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society - www.cancer.org or 301 Kelly Drive, Suite 3, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
