Former Sandy Creek student awarded Mellon Mays Scholarship

Recently, Justin Williams, a sophomore at Brown University (Ivy League) in Providence, Rhode Island, and a Sandy Creek 2008 graduate was awarded the Mellon-Mays scholarship to continue his research he began in 2009 for the next two years. Additionally, Justin will receive a stipend during his junior and senior year to support his research and preparation for graduate school.

According to Brown University, Office of Office of the Dean of the College, students who are selected exhibit “exceptional intellectual potential and motivation for graduate study and leadership.” To read more about Justin and his project, please visit Brown University at:
