New Neighbors new officers

The Peachtree City Chapter of New Neighbors League Club (NNLC) recently installed the officers of their summer/fall board.  From left are Shirley Jensen, President; Sheila Ostrofsky, First Vice President; Susan Johnson, Second Vice President; Carlyn Nankervis, Secretary; Kathy Burnett, Treasurer.  NNLC’s purpose is to help residence new to the area to meet and make friends by offering a wide range of activities. NNLC numbers over 220 members who are able to offer support, guidance, and friendship to newcomers who are adjusting to new surroundings. The Georgia Department of Labor announced this week that the unemployment rate in the Three Rivers region in July was 7.1 percent, up five-tenths of a percentage point from 6.6 percent in June.
