Roberts-Register engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Ken Roberts of Fayetteville announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Alicia Marie, to Jeremy Ashton Register, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Timothy Register Sr. of Homerville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Frances Brooks Cown and the late John Mark Cown of Fayetteville, and the late Joe and Mary Esther Roberts of Atlanta. She is a 2005 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a University of Georgia cum laude graduate with a bachelor of science degree in biology and in psychology. She is currently attending the Medical College of Georgia at the Georgia Health Sciences University in Augusta pursuing a doctor of medicine degree.

The future groom is the grandson of Candler and Lorean Register of Homerville and the late Grover and Juanita Smith, also of Homerville. He is a 2003 graduate of Clinch County High School and a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College with an associates degree in agriculture engineering, He also is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture education. He is employed with Flint Equipment Company, as the service administrator, in Grovetown.

A June wedding is planned at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at the Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree.

Government

The Fayette County Republican Party monthly breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, at the FCRP Event Center, 174 Glynn Street North in Fayetteville.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Senoia June 6-7 for the Canongate Series #4. The Canongate Seminole Course played excellent host to two very competitive rounds of junior golf.
