Triathletes take on Lake McIntosh

These swimmers braved the waters of Lake McIntosh May 17 as part of the Peachtree International Triathlon event. Participants also biked and ran the course as it meandered through the city, and the Peachtree City Fire Department was on hand in a rescue boat to help any swimmers who found themselves in trouble during the challenging first phase of the competition. Go to the mayor's facebook page and see the red truck in the muck of Lake P. "Check".

No swimming. It is posted on the signs there. The mayor (or city, same thing in this case) asked the county to approve use for the triathlon when Lake P. when the dam issue broke (joke).

The county (water system) had to get special permission from the state to allow it. A rare exception was made, due to the timing of it all.
