Healthy Life Chiropractic named Coweta Chamber and SouthTowne Motors Small Business of the Year

Healthy Life Chiropractic was named The Chamber and SouthTowne Motors Small Business of the Year May 22 during the NuLink Early Bird Forum.

“Chosen from a field of over 150 nominated companies and ten finalists, Healthy Life Chiropractic owner Dr. Tina McKay and her staff demonstrated exemplary business success as well as a high-level of Chamber and community involvement,” according to the announcement from the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce.

From the 10 finalists, Prosperity Awards were given in three categories recognizing the best in each. Winners include:

Entrepreneur Category (1-5 Employees) — The Financial Planning Group

Growth Category (6-19 Employees) — Lindsey’s Inc., Realtors

Employer Category (20-99 Employees) — Contemporary Catering, Inc.

A six-judge panel considered eight criteria to narrow the field to 10 finalists. Finalists were interviewed, and scores for their interview as well as the written application were combined to determine the winners.

“We are blessed to have so many great small businesses in our county,” said Candace Boothby, Chamber President and CEO. “I’m sure the judges had a difficult time choosing.”

She added, “Small businesses are a mainstay in the lives and lifestyle of our community, and we’re proud of the contributions they make to ensure Coweta County continues to be Prosperity’s Front Door.”

Also recognized as top-10 finalists this year were:

Entrepreneur Category:
Bedazzled Flower Shop
Southern Crescent Solutions

Growth Category:
R. DuBose Jewelers

Employer Category:
Georgia Pain and Spine Care

“Small business is the economic engine of our economy, Boothby said. “Nearly 97 percent of all businesses are small businesses with less than 100 employees and 54 percent of the total workforce. The Chamber and SouthTowne Motors are proud to recognize this vital segment of our local economy.”
