Mom, kid driver cited in PTC cart crash

A golf cart crash that seriously injured a Starr’s Mill High School student May 9 has resulted in charges being filed against both the driver and the owner of the golf cart.

The juvenile driver was charged with reckless driving and underage operation of a golf cart, police said. The juvenile’s mother, Leticia Hernandez-Garcia, was cited with allowing underage operation of a golf cart and failure to transfer golf cart registration, police said.

The crash resulted in a serious head injury for Janice Dominguez, who was flown to Atlanta Medical Center where he was kept heavily sedated and needed a hole drilled in her skull to reduce swelling.

A fund has been started to help defray the Dominguez family’s medical costs as Janice moves to the rehabilitation phase of her recovery. Donations may be made at any Wells Fargo Bank to the “Janice Dominguez Benefit Donation Fund.”

The crash happened when the cart driver lost control as it approached Masters Drive north, police said. The collision caused Janice to be ejected from the cart and she was struck on the head, police said.

I guess the girl in the coma makes it serious. Jail time, anyone? No, I didn't think so.

Let's wait until she kills somebody then we can put her away. Being 31 and expected to keep track of your children is so stressful. That job at McDonalds takes up a lot of time.

Or, we could take the very dangerous golf cart away from the family.

I think you are off a generation. The grandmother gets the job at McDonalds. The mamacita stays in the secion 8 housing, collects all govt. handouts, and procreates nonstop.

See it's grandmother at 26-32, mother at 13-16. That racks up the bennies much faster. Bonus bucks for multi-generations.

Way to go, Mom.

How else is a mama going to be able to save some dough to get the 15 year old a golf cart?

that's a hard one. I'll have to think about that. :-)

on citizenship? Legal or not?

family of the injured. Child is 15, mom is 31. The mother of the injured girl looks about 30, also. Do the math. For her interview at the hospital, the smile was telling. Thought she was a movie star. How many mothers smile when their child is having their skull drilled open?

Not a care in the world. Sneak into the US, find a male donor, start knocking them out and wait for Obama to take over their every need. Be sure to teach the same to the progeny who will now be brand spanking new voters in a few years.

Oh, by the way, the cart was a lovely pastel pink. Except the totaled front end.

If the PD wants to really get on top of this, schedule the path patrols from 8PM to 1AM, not during the day. They do their shopping and socializing after dark. You know, siesta time kicks in every day.

Saw 2 carts at Kroger the other day. 1 male, 2 females, 7 children under about the age of 8. Each mama holding an infant, also. Three of the children (about ages 4-8) had firework bang snaps and were throwing them all over the parking area right where those 3 over the age of probably 18 were standing and shooting the breeze. Right at dusk, right near the entrance to the store.

And aging eyeballs..not exactly a good fit says me. Lost lots of sleep over it last night, but I'll recover. Just kidding:). Now I get it. You get it, too. Wish our fed. government and politicians would get it but probably too much too expect from that crowd.

think this is interesting, maybe not. First off, I don't live in ptc anymore; I resided there for just about 2 years, couldn't find (keep) a decent job, so I moved back to the Northeast where I belong LOL. Anyway, I live in a smallish city in southern New England. This city is officially known as a "sanctuary city" where nobody is ALLOWED to bother illegals if the "bothering" is only to inquire about someone's alien status in the US. Going back a few years, when I moved back here, I had had it up to my eyeballs with southern "hospitality" (sarcasm there) and the kind of talk seen from just about every commenter above. I just wasn't raised that way - any and all kinds of racially-biased talk was frowned upon. Actually I just want to finish this up, gotta go y'know... To make a long story short, the exact people described above - in general -it seems, don't even LIKE us or appreciate what is done for them. Ever try to have a pleasant conversation with one of "them"? Attitude for days! Never thought I'd be talking this way. You know, I miss PTC :-)
