PTC Fire takes title

The Peachtree City Fire/Rescue Department has recaptured the championship title they last held in 2005, 2006 and 2011: champion of the annual Public Safety Games in Fayette County. The month-long games pit the county’s police, fire and 911 services against each other in sports including softball, tennis, volleyball, trap shooting, bowling, golf and 1-mile and 5K races. Over 40 individuals from Peachtree City Fire/Rescue helped win the single and double elimination softball tournaments, sand and indoor volleyball and basketball competitions in the sixteen event mega-challenge. The games foster teamwork, physical fitness and camaraderie and all who participated are to be congratulated with a special thanks to Fayette County Recreation Department’s Kenny Wallace, organizer for the entire event.
