Senior airman (and FCHS grad) earns early promotion

Senior Airman Daniel Boggs, the son of David and Donna Boggs, and a graduate of Fayette County High School in 2004, was just recently promoted to Senior Airman Below-the-Zone (meaning he put the rank on six months earlier than normal, due to outstanding performance.

Boggs is stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma, but is currently deployed to PRT Paktya here in Afghanistan, where he is a communications specialist for the team. The provincial reconstruction team’s mission here is to protect the population and connect the Afghan people to their government through mentoring and development projects. SrA Boggs, besides being a vital part of the communications team here at Forward Operating Base Gardez (near Gardez City in Paktya province), also assists with security when the team goes out into the countryside for governance and development missions.
