At this year’s Fayette County High School Senior Awards ceremony, two graduating seniors were recognized by Fayette County Post 105 with the 2014 American Legion School Awards. Pictured in the right photograph is Jeff Yeater, Post 105 Senior Vice Commander presenting the award to Jonathan Taylor. In the bottom photograph, Yeater is presenting the award to Megan Lewis. After graduation, Jonathan is planning to move to Alabama where he will study culinary arts. The Georgia Department of Labor announced this week that the unemployment rate in the Three Rivers region in July was 7.1 percent, up five-tenths of a percentage point from 6.6 percent in June.
