Stewart-Jordan engagement

Mr. and Mrs. John R. Stewart, Jr. of Fayetteville, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Aurore Stewart, to Bryan Christopher Jordan, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Jordan of Florence, S.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Mikel Smith of Columbia, S.C. and of the late Dr. John R. Stewart and Mrs. John R. Stewart of Jacksonville, Ala.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leroy L. Smith of Sumter, S.C. and the late Mr. Preston C. Jordan, Jr. and Mrs. Preston C. Jordan of Florence, S.C.

The bride-elect graduated from Fayette County High School in Fayetteville, Ga. in 2003 and received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Georgia in 2007. She then received a Juris Doctor from William and Mary School of Law in 2010. She is employed as an Assistant District Attorney in Augusta, Ga.

The groom-elect graduated from Estero High School in Estero, Fla. in 1997 and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2001. He then received a Masters of Science from the University of Florida in 2003. He is employed as a loan specialist for the USDA Rural Development Agency in Aiken, S.C.

They plan an August wedding in Augusta, Ga.
