Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg will have an evening Vacation Bible School June 18-22 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The theme this year is “Gospel Light’s Sonrise National Park.” Children ages 3-12 are welcome to attend and be a part of the “wilderness” experience. VBS will be a weekend of fun at Brooks UMC and the community is invited. The theme is Rocky Point Lighthouse. All kids ages three through fifth grade are encouraged to attend. FFUMC VBS, June 25-29
Fayetteville first United Methodist Church will have summer Vacation Bible School June 25-29 from 9 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. The theme this year is “Praise! Where Kids Get Down and Lift God High.” Children ages three (as of Jan. 1, 2012) through fifth grade (recently completed) are invited. Activities will include skits, karaoke, crafts, snacks, games and music, with the atmosphere centering on break-dancing, hip-hop and dance. Writer’s block I knew one day it would happen. After 14 years and over 700 columns, something that strikes fear into this writer has finally arrived at our house: Writer’s block.


The Coweta Fairgrounds’ James E. McGuffey Nature Center will be the site of the first Fall Tree Festival, hosted by the Coweta Master Gardener Extension Volunteers Sunday, Oct. 25, 2-4 p.m.


Starr's Mill, Northgate and East Coweta are all unbeaten at the midpoint of the football season after their wins Friday night. Northgate is 6-0 while the other two teams are 5-0.


Sibling Class is a one-hour class for siblings, ages 2-10, accompanied by an adult. Topics include what to expect when Mom is in the hospital and when the baby comes home.
