Southern Crescent Chorale schedules Fayetteville auditions

Having just completed its tenth season, the Southern Crescent Chorale has established a reputation for excellence and achievement in the south metro area arts community. An auditioned community chorus, the Chorale’s mission is to enrich its communities and provide talented and interested singers an opportunity to perform a variety of challenging choral literature with high performance standards. Chorale members hail from six different metro Atlanta counties.

Next season’s highlights will include performances at Spivey Hall, Southern Ground Amphitheater, and the popular Christmas Concert with guest performers The Atlanta Concert Ringers. At the conclusion of next season, the Chorale will tour Spain and France in June 2013.

Auditions for next season will be held at the chorus room of Fayette County High School (#1 Tiger Trail Fayetteville, GA 30214) on the following dates: Monday, June 18; Thursday, June 21; and Tuesday, June 26, all from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Georgia Department of Labor announced this week that the unemployment rate in the Three Rivers region in July was 7.1 percent, up five-tenths of a percentage point from 6.6 percent in June.
