Prepping for World Cup 2022

You just can’t keep Bernard Knox and the Palmetto Youth League (PYL) from expanding their reach into the community. The new organization’s most recent endeavor is the summer soccer program held Saturdays at Palmetto Elementary School. Up next will be flag football coming later this summer. Along with soccer and flag football, the center thus far provides a fitness center, library, book club, arts and crafts, dance, cheerleading and karate. “This is really a partnership on many fronts,” Palmetto Mayor John Miller said. “I’m proud of Bernard’s efforts with this project and the efforts he has taken with a lot of local people and business owners, some of whom are serving on the Palmetto Youth League board.” For more information call 770-463-2260 or visit www.palmettoyouthleague.org.
