Loretta Hughes Nickelson Allison, 80, of Sharpsburg

Loretta Hughes Nickelson Allison, 80, of Sharpsburg, Ga. passed away July 7, 2014 from a long illness.

She was born April 7, 1934 in Sinking Creek, Va. and graduated from Mayfield High School in 1952. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Hallie Hughes. Her husband, Buddy Nickelson, her sisters, Ileta Huffman, Sally Patton and Eva Saunders preceded her in death.

She is survived by current husband Thomas Monroe Allison of Peachtree City, daughter Cindy Greene and husband Don Greene of Sharpsburg and two grandchildren, Heather and Brandon Greene, son Bob Nickelson and wife Merry Nickelson of Sharpsburg and two grandchildren, Ray and Bethany Nickelson, and a brother, Gene Hughes and wife Jo from Salem, Va.

A Celebration of Life service took place on July 12, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Peachtree City Christian Church, where she has been a member for over 30 years. Dr. George Dillard officiating.
