Peggy Mays West, 74, of Fayetteville

Peggy Mays West, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014.

She was a 1958 graduate of Russell High School.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years James Nathan West of Fayetteville; daughter Tammy & Rhett Weaver of Clarkesville; son Jimmy & Shelley West of Sharpsburg; daughter Jenny & Doug Bass of McDonough; grandchildren Kris & Audrey Weaver, Lisa & Patrick O'Shea, Leslie Weaver, Katie Weaver, Christian Turner, Drake Turner, Emma West, Drew Lawrence, and Gus Lawrence; great-granddaughters Ellie & Lucy Weaver; 4 sisters; several nieces & nephews; and her beloved dog Tom.

A memorial service was held Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church, Fayetteville. Reverend Jerry Cross officiated. The family received friends Sunday at the church following the service.
